EMEM Shop & Gallery will be hosting its first jewelry & glass art exhibition
“SONGS” inviting 2 artists from Japan on Nov28-Dec1
“SONGS” is their first exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City for both artists from Japan, Jewelry designer Keiko IWAMATSU and Glass artist Daisuke TAKATOMI. For Keiko, this is her memorable exhibition as she was living in HCMC 2010-2013 and she loves this city so much. She feels very happy to be back in Saigon for this great occasion.
Keiko’s jewelries are pure and beautiful. They are all hand-made using natural gemstones carefully selected by her own. When making the jewelries Keiko always wishing that people who wears her jewelries would become happier and more peaceful. When she was living in HCMC, she was one of the best known jewelry designers in the city and created more than 1500 pieces for customers. After going back to Japan she devoted in the creation more passionately and held the exhibitions of her own in major department stores.
Daisuke’s glass works are dynamic, mysterious and sensitive, and they are really beautiful. He blows the glass in his atelier in Hokkaido and creates shapes with inspiration he gets from the great nature surounding him. He is one of major blowing glass artists in Japan and we can see his major works in the TVCM of a major beer company, Sapporo Beer, or in the famous movie “SHIAWASE NO PAN (Bakeries of happiness)”.
Keiko and Daisuke met in Japan 8 years ago and started to collaborate with “USAPI” series. Keiko makes jewelries with the glass part that Daisuke blew. The 2 artists always face to the artwork with pureness and passion, put their souls maximum into it. That might be the reason why we are attracted so much to Keiko’s jewelries, Daisuke’s glasswares and USAPI series. It is worth to see their great artworks!
The exhibition “SONGS” will be held on Nov28-Dec1 at EMEM Gallery, 81 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho chi Minh City. During the exhibition Keiko and Daisuke will be on the venue waiting for all of you.
